Property Inspection & Building Surveying

Building Surveys

A building survey can be provided to the client prior to the purchase of a building. The survey is generally non-intrusive (unless otherwise instructed) and outlines any defects found along with recommending remedial works and providing a cost estimate of same.

The survey report also comments on compliance (or otherwise) of the development with regard to Building Regulations, Planning Permission and Identity.

Finegan Jackson can undertake due-diligence property inspections. These would advise on property zoning, development potential and other development issues.

Schedules of Condition and Defect Analysis

Finegan Jackson can provide a detailed report with photographs on the existing condition of a building. The report will identify the location and extent of any current defects. These reports are particularly useful if you or neighbouring property owner intends on getting building works carried out and should be agreed prior to the commencement of any works.

Schedule of Defects “Snag List”

Finegan Jackson can provide a snagging report to a building contractor on a newly constructed building. This will typically be a list of defects or irregularities that will be required to be rectified prior to purchasing.

Measured Surveys

Finegan Jackson can provide clients with scaled measured drawings of existing buildings. These can be used to evaluate development potential prior to purchasing a property or simply used to provide an accurate record of the existing building and services.
